During this time nature seems alive with vibrant colors! It’s when you can most likely see the blue/turquoise green waters of Lake Coatepeque, a volcanic lake [a popular destination for tourists and locals]. Here you can kayak, jet ski, dive, fish, hike, bird watch, mountain bike, and/or ride a ferry and enjoy a meal and drinks while you take in the view!
Reason #2 – El Salvador has a 190-mile coastline of the Pacific Ocean. It has many wonderful beaches! The best beaches are located in La Libertad, El Salvador. La playa El Tunco has become one of the most famous beaches. It’s become the surfing capital of El Salvador. It is said that El Tunco beach is “where we can find the best waves in Central America…” (https://surfcity.org/en/el-salvador-a-surfers-paradise) Multiple world surfing tournaments have been hosted in this beach. So come enjoy the waves!!
Reason #3 – In the last past years, El Salvador has had many new architectural improvements, primarily since President Nayib Bukele has been in the presidency. El Salvador now has new roads and bridges for easier accessibility throughout the country. El Salvador has a new library called Binares where you can sit back and relax, read a book, use their technology tools, enjoy the scenery, have a meal and a drink, and more! Sunset Park was also recently built where you can enjoy the rides along the shoreline of El Puerto de la Libertad. If you are interested in El Salvador’s history, head over to their archeological parks and museums where you can learn about the Mayan Ruins.
You will also love El Salvador’s tropical fruits! There are lots of mangoes, coconuts, guavas, cashew, tamarind, Spanish lime, papayas, watermelons, and much more! Best of all, people all around you are selling these fruits for less than $1, cut out into bite-sized pieces with the option of adding salt, lime, and hot sauce! Absolutely Delicious!
Reason #5 – Getting around El Salvador, communicating, and purchasing items is relatively easy. El Salvador’s currency is US Dollars. They also offer Bitcoin currency, a type of digital currency.

OK! Now let’s talk about the last reason why you should visit El Salvador!
Reason # 7 – Come to El Salvador where you will feel welcomed! Get ready to be spoiled! Salvadoreans are very nice and they want their tourists to enjoy their vacation and feel welcomed and most of all, to return again. Don’t be shocked if you happen to walk by the farmer’s marketplace and get called by nice names like “my love” or “sweetie”. When I went with my husband and heard a lady calling those nicknames to my husband, I almost lost it! Then I learned that its their way of being persuasive, to make you feel welcomed, along with getting you to soften up to buy from them!
